The frightening thing for me is that he could go on to be viewed as an upgrade. That’s how highly I rate him.

Id love to see a comparison at the end of the season, Gana v Alan for tackles/interceptons etc

Finally a number 6 who can win tackles and play football. He's going to be loved here.

And he has the quality to carry the ball if there's space in front of him, which is great

My only criticism is that he seemed to try and go into very advanced forward positions in the first 20 minutes which I think contributed to the counter attack for their first goal

maybe I’m being too harsh

There was a mix up with him and Hames when they broke for the 1st goal, 2 games in and our midfield are like night and day now. I think its upped the levels of Richy and DCl aswell as Digne and Coleman.

It seemed like his and Doucoure's roles were switched? He was driving forward with the ball more and doing it well, while Doucoure seemed to hang around the back line.

James is an aphrodisiac in blue,but Allan is my favourite so far out of the new signing,constantly makes himself available rarely gives the ball away and covers the pitch completely,will drive forward then next minute is covering the full backs,plus you just know he will get better as the season goes on
