We have this awful habit at the club of getting behind really poor footballers who just happen to visibly run around and press. Happened loads of times over the last few years with Niasse and Naismith in particular and it's happening again here with Iwobi. The only difference is we were a decent side before and now we're incredibly poor so the effort sticks out. Fair play to the lad but he still needs to be replaced in the Summer and also it brings up the fact that this team is so poor that a lad running around is getting the plaudits, how can anyone else in this squad look at Iwobi, someone who they know more than any of us is not a good footballer, see the praise he's getting and then continue to put in their own awful performances every week.
Iwobi is a millionaire on stupid money who's never been the level of Everton football club, I don't think he particularly cares about us more so cares to secure his own financial future. Can other players not even have that perspective, where they at least put the effort in selfishly? In our entire squad if we went down I think probably only Richarlison, DCL, Pickford and maybe Allan based on his reputation could get anywhere close to the same money elsewhere that we are giving them, are the rest of these morons really that lazy and not arsed that they'd literally throw away the prospect of millions for the sake of putting in a bit of effort 90 minutes a week. It's honestly baffling to me.
