The whole ancelotti iwobi thing is quite bizare. As anytime he's been picked from the start ancelotti has taken him off at half time because he really has been that bad.
Knew he would start v southampton and knew we would get turned over with him in the side. Its not true that he does nothing. Because he does. He breaks down our attacks and he contributes to the oppositions attacks.
For the love of God Carlo stop picking this gutless fraud.

Gordon and even Bernard are better footballers so absolutely.

It annoys me that there are a lot of players at the top leagues in European football that are there purely based on athleticism than actual skill and do well.
Bernard is a bad joke. The guy cant play premier league football. No children on a premier league football pitch please!

Gotta be honest.. I didn't notice him do too much wrong yesterday bar one or two miscontrols. He just isn't Richarlison unfortunately.

The difference is that the opposition know Richarlison isn’t going to lose the ball. If they press him he might spin them so they back off and it allows us to build. Every single right back in the world knows Iwobi will miscontrol it and will follow it up by trying to do a stupid flick.

Good vision, tries to make good forward passes.

The problem is he lacks pace and offers nothing defensively or in the press. If he's not having a good day with the ball, then he is a passenger.
You’re right, he obviously has ability probably looks great in training. Re the defensive side, you can see why that Arsenal team was so easy to play against, too many players just not switched on to doing the ugly side of the game. If the game was going the right way, they looked a good team, if not, forget it.

Don’t think it’s laziness, he just doesn’t have the intensity required for the press and seems to lack awareness of what’s going on behind him - just makes you want to give him a shake and say waken up man! Not everyone has the drive of a Richarlison, that’s inbuilt character.

As an attacker, Richarlison's one thought is to get up the pitch. He's clever, obviously. He's brilliant at holding the ball up in tight areas, but when he gets it and we're attacking he'll just run.

His movement off the ball also frees up space for Digne and gives James another crossing option too.

Iwobi just doesn't do that. He deserved his chance yesterday but it showed who our key player is.

It has to be Gordon in the next game.

Gordon might be young and therefore less experienced and prone to mistakes, but you know what, at least he puts in a shift.

Iwobi is too much of a passenger. We really, really miss Richarlison's snarl, hounding their defenders trying to play out, helping out deep on the pitch.

We can't expect everyone to play exactly like Richy but it's incredibly annoying how Iwobi tries to play like his exact opposite.

The only trait they have in common is their tendency to make bad decisions and be egoistic on the ball.
