Got in some great positions, his touch or pass let him down at times but that happens sometimes, his extra pace in there was good to have as a few times we was able to play quick one twos. Hopefully keeps getting better

He impressed and infuriated equally today,
Was busy and constantly involved, however he did showcase an urgent need to be more clinical,
Should have scored and a couple of times he gave the ball away needlessly,
Otherwise a solid 7/10 today

Finds space and makes s
The reasons he didnt play from the start was because he had zero pre season + no rest after ACON + had to be gradually brought into the team.

Richarlison would be fine either side of the forward if we had Kean up front but he needs time to adapt.

Once Kean is up to speed then Richarlison moves to the right with Kean up top...adds more of a goal threat.

Also, I quite like that new signings have to earn their places even if it can be frustrating in the first couple of months. I think last year Richarlison was the only one who slotted in straight away and no new signings started against Palace this year either.

By the same token, and despite his goal today, Sigurdsson should have to earn his shirt back too. Same for Coleman, Schneiderlin, Delph, DCL etc.

Loses the ball far too much.
Would rather lose it trying to unlock things in advanced positions than knock it sideways and back without creating anything. Then end up with 60% plus possession but conceding a set piece and not scoring.
Just over 50% possession today but quick football going forward which meant sometimes we lost it but created a lot. Could have scored five or more with better finishing and a bit of luck (Walcotts effort).

Iwobi was very good today ... always showed for the call, confidence in possession, aware of those around him and positive with great movement, it helped that walcott had great movement at times , sidebe got up the pitch likewise digne... and Bernard looked really on the same level as him. Still question mark over Richarlson as where is he most effective ?

This, can’t complain about slow, boring possession based football and then also complain when someone loses the ball playing quick thinking , one and two touch football trying to open up defences . It has to be acceptable that losing the ball will happen more often if we ask players to play that way and I for one cannot stand possession based footy.
