We are just better with Bernard and Iwobi in the team. Sigurdsson scoring against tired legs with a lead does nothing to change that.

That Sigurdsson goal has given Silva a decision to make. I hope he sticks with Iwobi behind the striker. He's so much quicker to press and much better at getting involved and linking up play. Wish he'd have finished his chance today because there wouldn't be anything in the decision then.

It's amazing to think that having players that can pass to teammates and receive passes from teammates consistently is useful for a football team. Iwobi and Bernard do more, but that's the difference between them and Sigurdsson.

Agree with all this - think Siggy isn't bad to bring off the bench against tired legs. It's a squad game, so options are handy. Still a lot to pay for an impact sub.

Easily done enough to stay in the team, he was excellent and a massive reason whilst there was so much pace and movement in the final 3rd again.

None of that team should be changed at Brighton, they all should start adding.

Can't really agree with you mate. Iwobi played the 10 for Arsenal (when he played), and plays the 10 for Nigeria.

I think many see the errant pass or him being dispossessed and chalk it up to a lack of quality. But that's what happens when you're moving around a lot and consistently trying to move the ball forward. Anyone can safely play it out to the wing and then stand around doing nothing, or safely passing sideways when no one's challenging you. Iwobi's simple presence made our attack completely unpredictable (hey playing through the middle, imagine that) and thus, better.

He didn't have the best game- was a little clumsy at times and is definitely capable of more- but the energy him and Davies brought to the game was night and day with the sluggish Schneiderlin and Sigurdsson in the same positions.

We look a better team with him in the 10. He carries the ball well. On that basis he earns another start for me.

His finishing apart, thought Iwobi was excellent today, kept his tempo high throughout and supported by Davies and Gomes playing more offensively than we can only dream of Delph and Schneiderlin playing definitely helped him... and Walcott Bernard and Richarlison.
