Alan Stubbs to talk to Hibernian about vacant managers' job!!!!!

The club had every right to put the clause in just like Stubbs had every right to freak about it, it's business but it's scummy business. As for all the Rooney stuff, If you really believe Stubbs convinced Rooney to leave and not Ferguson/Stretford/bags of cash, you need to have a lie down. He mightn't have been the best at PR but he was/is a good Evertonian and I wish him well in what ever he decides to do.

No mate, he is a bell end.

Honestly.

Hi Guys and Girls

Hibby here after reading this I am contemplaiting the high jump [ off the forth road bridge ]. Jeezo we have just been through one of the worst periods in the clubs history under Terry Butcher and a lot of fans thought he was the man to turn things around. The rumour flying about is that Stubbs is about to get the job here at ER and will be announced very shortly.
What has he actually been like as manager of the reserves or is your honest opinion is that it is time for him to move on, if confirmed we are wondering who his assist will be.

Some quite frankly ridiculous reaction in here, based on nothing more than hear'say and quite possibly misinterpreted quotes.

He was good as a player for us and is a die hard Blue - even if the stupid comments he's made are true, there's no need for this type of response IMO.

think this is very harsh on Stubbs, is this how we treat evertonians, ex captains and great scouser to the club? Bit embarrassing if I'm honest most of these are just rumours and in the summer i didn't see Bainsey coming out saying he didn't want to go to united. I'm not saying erect a statue but lets at least wish him luck. Rooney was always going to united as soon as he got picked for England for the Euros his head was turned by money and fame no one no's for certain whether Stubbs had said anything just rumours

..he also came out in the press when United were chasing Leighton Baines and said something along the lines of 'Obviously Baines as said he wants to go..'

Can't remember the exact quote, but we wouldn't expect that from someone working for the club when we were hell bent on keeping him.

EDIT

''Bainesy was never really an option to leave, the club had dug its heels in, but Bainesy had obviously said he'd like to go.''

Thanks for all the honest answers to the question. I am now no longer confused - just terrified.

Having read his autobiography last weekend, I have nothing but admiration for Stubbs, and for what he's had to overcome. I think he has the character to succeed in the lower leagues.

Well-documented behaviour and public comments over a 10 year period isn't 'hear'say'.
