I'd actually be happy with Smith for around 2-3 million.

He was quality at Leeds and if there's a manager to make him a great player again it's Moyes.

1.5 million, but wtf? We're selling AJ for near enough 13 million yet we need a replacement and we're spending 1.5 million on him.

Get [Poor language removed] Kenwright and show us the cash you useless ****.

Im going to get myself well used to it mate, this is how its going to be for the foreseeable future, and i wouldnt be blaming Bill either, if i was him id walk and let the lunatcis run the asylam!(n)

i think it is a great bit of business. Johnson is not 9 times better than Smith as the transfer fees would suggest, in fact truth be told i would argue that Johnson is no better or worse than Smith.

Can't wait to see what Moyes does with the rest though.:)

More to come

Im as frustrated as the next Evertonian, but Moyes wouldnt have come out and said he was staying if he hadnt got at least some of his targets approved would he??

Smith has lost his way but the talent is still there.........somewhere
Its been said by others on here, if anybody can get Smith firing again its Moyes.

I believe there will be other players coming in, whether they are the quality of Moutinho etc is unknown, but we can cross our fingers and hope..................we seem to be doing that every year now lol

The only thing that really worries me is if BK really is looking for a buyer now that the stadium plan has been called in will he be willing to throw money at new players if he doesnt think anybody will be interested in buying/investing in the club without the new stadium?
I personally think if the stadium had been approved he would have thrown a lot more money at new players to show potential investors we mean business but now im not so sure.......

Anyway as for Smith, I think we need numbers in the squad, and adding smith for around 1.5 million is good business by Moyes again.

We just have to keep the faith and hope we get a couple of big name players and a few more squad players.

At the end of the day we support Everton, we will always support Everton no matter what happens, we all bitch and moan but thats our right as fans.

Heres to another nailbiting runup to midnight on transfer deadline day
:P

That doesn't make us any stronger, mate.

I totally agree, ttbh i think Smith would bring more to the team, more determination, better shooting, tackling, heading etc...

I really can't see us paying his wages if they're 60k+!! And I think he'd want to be starting as he's 27 and hasn't really got his career going and I don't think he should have a starting place in our first 11

[Poor language removed] smith lets get niclas alexanderson back, i liked it better when we were fighting for 17th place in the prem. Doesnt really feel like im supporting everton when we're in contention for champs league football!
