I'd rather keep AJ than get Smith, he's one of the worst players going at the moment. Newcastle fans hate him, he's one of there worst players.

Hearing 1.75 million being bandied around. The buzz is coming from all sorts of outlets. I remember before Ferguson made a move Moyes really wanted him badly four years or so ago. Maybe something in this one.

My take I don't really rate him at all but I think Moyes could overhaul him a bit. The attitude thing for me is a sticking point. But a warm body nevertheless.

Any striker who can bag more than 4 goals a season is now worth 5M+ so getting him as a squad player for 1.75M wouldn't be that bad of an idea. Everybody instantly gets worse when they put on a Newcastle shirt and don't do badly once they split. So maybe he's still decent. He's played out of position for like 3 years now as well.
