Aiden McGeady

No, I don't remember that at all, and I was at the match and saw him come on to the pitch, and then saw the pictures of him afterwards, and read the comments of people saying it, and looked at the pictures again, and still didnt see it.

But it seems to have gone down in folklore now. And in this age, with Google and everything.

I was at the game as well mate. Saw him with several jumbo sausage rolls from Greggs. Appalling behaviour.

Then why didn't any PL side go in for him?

A player just don't play in one way. If he can't adopt and can only play in one tactic then you need to ask the question why.

I can't really answer why no prem teams didn't go for him but some managers do like a player like McGeady who does have quick feet and can beat a man and get balls in to the box.

And unfortunately McGeady does only play in one way, just like Deulofeu, in that they get the ball and front up the FB and want to take them on, and then take them on again. The better players can do that but also beat a man by playing past them, giving give and goes and away you are. McGeady isn't that type, instead he tries to just take players on all time and maybe that's his downfall and why prem managers didn't take the plunge with him in the summer?!

He has great ability, think it's purely mental with Mcgeady...doesn't have it in him to perform consistently in the Prem-especially when things go wrong for him and fans get on his back.

His form means we should get a decent fee for him though.

He just has more of a European style (was decent in UEFA if I remember). I don't know of too many wingers without pace who succeeded in the prem. McFadden and Billy were similar. Technically good playing in a league where that isn't necesilary an asset.

McGeady has found his level, unfortunately. He is a very good player at the level he is playing at and would be great in Scotland. He just doesn't quite have what it takes to perform consistently at the top level.

Definitely. Titus Bramble would easy be the best player in the business houses. But at a half decent level like the County Prem or West Cheshire he wouldn't be running past 5 players and banging it in the top corner every week, he'd just be so good at what he does.

The gap is ridiculous, but I do think anyone in the world could kick Christian Atsu hard enough to make him stop playing.
Played for my county as a youth( 15 I think) and Titus Bramble was playing against us. He was on the wing and was like shoite off a shovel he was that fast.
