McGeady was no where near PL level. Not even a little bit.

Not so. Actually agree someone like Aids might, tricky or very fast players can do that.

Few pro's play in our Monday night game (5-9 a side) and while they're better, it's not by that much. Goal poaching center forwards and (some) defenders don't tend to stand out much at all really.

Lol, you get some decent players but semi pro standard not that great. Get loads of them dipping in to the top level Sunday league stuff and they don't just score hatricks.

Old flatmate plays up front in national north, chap I live with now plays league 2 as a full back. Theyre very good and often the best players but they don't just meg everyone and score rabonas non stop.

Maybe you're just not very good at football.

I reckon aids would be decent at 5-o

He has great ability, think it's purely mental with Mcgeady...doesn't have it in him to perform consistently in the Prem-especially when things go wrong for him and fans get on his back.

His form means we should get a decent fee for him though.

I do know what he means. I've played with/against a few ex-pros who do everything very well but don't immediately stand out. Whereas I've played against Lee Trundle and he looks ridiculously good despite never playing at the very top. That was a fun afternoon.

McGeady would look a lot better in a Sunday league or 5 a side game than John Terry, say, just based on their style. Not that Terry would struggle or anything.

Made up to see that he himself is saying his Everton career is now over - getting him and Kone off the wage bill in the summer will mean that Koeman has managed to clear all of the deadwood in one season which is no mean feat considering the wages we have been paying some of these players.

Definitely. Titus Bramble would easy be the best player in the business houses. But at a half decent level like the County Prem or West Cheshire he wouldn't be running past 5 players and banging it in the top corner every week, he'd just be so good at what he does.

The gap is ridiculous, but I do think anyone in the world could kick Christian Atsu hard enough to make him stop playing.
