Should not be a starter against Man U and the other games left to play. If a guy just thumps in crosses and there are not the players for them what does that say about the intelligence of the player?

Ive got to say give him a chance from what I have seen he is an old school winger, get it to the line and cross. He IS better than Pienaar at taking players on but needs to learn the Baines way of playing the wing as well as his option of running the line and crossing in, oh and this talk of high crosses is BS he has zipped loads across the box with nobody getting on the end of them which isn't his fault.

Have to disagree, should lift his head up and see what is on.

Best telling Seamus Coleman, Darron Gibson, McGeady, James McCarthy, Kevin Sheedy, Shane Duffy, Tommy Eglinton and Peter Farrell they have all been worthless and unsuccessful then.

To answer your question 0. But to label Ireland worthless is a bit ridiculous mate. And i am not going to get into a silly argument over what have England/Scotland/Wales/ won blah blah blah (1966), because it's not relevant to Everton and to be honest i don't care.

Which is the point I made in the first place mate.

England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, all no mark National teams.

It doesnt mean they have World Class talents from time to time, Wales currently have 1 at the moment, but they will never win anything, due to the utter no marks within the squad. England probably have the best squad out of all the home nations and even they are utter rubbish.

My point was, it doesnt matter how McGready played for Ireland, Celtic or Sparktak, its how he plays for Everton and I personally like what I see so far.

Let's keep it sensible lads.

I think we'll see a better McGeady next season. He came to us having played virtually not much football in a while so a full pre season will benefit us.

To be honest, I really don't see why people are having a go at him.

I think he has performed rather well since joining us and he was one of our better players last evening IMO.

His job is to deliver the ball into the box which he does regularly.

If there is a good bit of improvement left in him then we are going to be looking at a real bargain signing by this time next year.

The signing of Mcgeady didn't inspire me at all. He is one of those players who looks good occasionally but what does he actually give? He has a long history of promising much but delivering little.

Not Everton class and never a first team starter. His style is out of place in this current team in my opinion. Could be kept to use as a sub when desperate.

I might be proved wrong but I very much doubt it.
