I'm sure Karl Marx was born in JenaRed Star Belgrade ( Crvena Zvedza ) after they knocked Liverpool out of the European cup in the 70's . Me and my mates sneaked past the stewards when they opened the gates up with about 10 minutes left . Also their team that won the European Cup ( dire game ) in 91 contained some unbelievable players Prosinecki , Jugovic , Darko Pancev ( Golden Boot winner ) Savicevic , Mihailovic . Not to mention the players they produced later on . Fallen on hard times now as Serbia is a pariah state and the money is elsewhere but if you watch the video of them beating Liverpool on youtube you'll understand . Also when I first started to read the results in the Daily Mirror Carl Zeiss Jena stuck in my head . Now in the lower leagues in Germany . They were in Europe 3 or 4 times in the 70's and 80's and it wasn't until I got my first camera ( well my Dad pocketed it off the docks ) I realised they were the lens factory team . Proper Football Clubs unlike today and except EFC . I was captivated by loads of Eastern European clubs at the time due to the politics I think .
If there was one, you'd get a yellow card for that....![]()
not from me mate, not from me.![]()
In Europe, I'll admit to offering best wishes to ANY English team.
I became fond of United during the young super kid days ( think Beckham, Neville, Scholes, Giggs etc etc ) and their adventures in Europe, so if I had to pick one English team that I would possibly say could be a 2nd team, it would be them, as I'm still fond of Rooney too.
Domestically though, I couldn't give a hoot about any other teams success, even if I would like certain team not to be relegated, such as the Burnleys of the world.
Check who gave you neg rep. Whoever did would have a reason for it i guess and you'll know
I jest of course
I'd rather be a wool than a Kopite
