Advice on moving to Liverpool

Garston a nice area? Hahaha I realise asking these questions may cause some friction and throw a cat amongst the pigeons if you happen to be from there areas I’m asking about
Garston is decent, lots of pubs, close enough to the likes of sefton/caldies/clarke gardens. Close to the airport and train stations to town, I would just say avoid under the bridge

If you're after something short-term my brother lives in a shared place about 5 minutes walk from Kirkdale station that always seems to have a room or two free.

The other, and probably better option would be a room share with other young professionals. You’ll get a well better area, like Aigburth, Allerton, Mossley Hill.

You could have some new friends as well so you’re not that weirdo out in town by themselves
Good shout this.

If you’re totally new to the area and don’t know anyone then it doesn’t make sense to tie yourself down to a place long term either. I would 100% go for a 6 month contract in house or flat share with professionals. They’re a lot easier to get out of too as you usually just have to find the landlord a new tenant.

If you’re young/patient enough to enjoy it sharing with professionals is great. I’ve made a few good friends through them. I got fed up of it in the end but in my mid to late twenties it was great.

As much as I love the Wirral there’s not a huge amount going on for young people, and public transport is patchy, hence why I moved away for a while. If you like quiet places and natural beauty then it’s perfect.

I’d stick with Liverpool personally.

Yeah the house share, I don’t mind if it’s with 1 or 2. I lived with my gf outside Dublin for 2 years but then we broke up. I rented in Belfast with people I didn’t know and it was a nightmare, new people coming and going every couple of months. And no respect for other tenants, dishes left everywhere, bins never emptied . Turned the place into a s***ehole

Yeah I get that trust me. I did shared housing for 10 years including uni halls etc.

I’m far too grumpy to ever do it again. 34 going on 45 here.
