Advice on moving to Liverpool

Was the area of choice for bohemians when I still lived in the city
Aye - I think it's sliding from genuine bohemian to gentrified hipster. Soon be prohibitively expensive and full of rich kids "slumming it" in a big bad working class northern city with only Daddy's trust fund to fall back on.

Christ - I'm a miserable old git who needs to brush them chips off his shoulder.

Mate there are w**kers like that though on YouTube that are encouraging people to buy up property’s in the north and then charge exorbitant rent . Ar**holes

Norris Green and Kensington ….I have lived in Liverpool for decades and I actually don’t recall setting foot in these places. Maybe passed by in the car but that’s it…nice places:Blink:

There are loads of reasonably priced flats Lark Lane / Aigburth area. Easy to get to town and loads of bars and restaurants in Lark Lane ;)
Walton is rougher than Norris Green now.

Meh, lived in the north end all my life.

The place yer man posted is in a decent spot, even though it’s classed as Norris Green it’s not the Norris Green we all know and love.

Just thought it was solid advice considering how much cheaper it is to live up these parts than the south end.

Lark lane is obviously a sound spot but it was nearly flown to smithereens a few months back.

As I said, you’re never too far from a dodgy area in a city like this.

Lark lanes been mentioned a few times, I’ll be looking around there certainly

If you can afford it mate, around Lark Lane is deffo the one I`d go for.

The much cleaned up and now safe, Sefton Park is on your doorstep, the restaurants, pubs and bars of Lark Lane.

The lovely old houses, turned into flats.

The real mix of people who live there, normal working families, young professionals, hippies and earth mothers, with a few chronic plonkies and smackheads thrown in for good measure.

Really easy to get into town on the bus / train / car.

One thing I`d say though, is avoid ground floor flats, as the area can have sporadic burglary problems and the ground floor / basement flats of those old houses are the ones that get hammered. ( I`ve had a good few mates and my brother lived around there )

Ffs, I was just about to suggest Bootle, there's some half decent areas there.
Avoid The Strand at night and Marsh Lane like, soz to anyone haha.

I usually go for a walk around there, down millers bridge etc. They usually leave me alone probably because I used to give them a ciggy ?

Whats wrong with Woolton ? lol I forgot your there ? only joking - Mr Woolshire

Don't do it if you're a blue, just stay well away.

Imagine the end of Matrix 3, but instead of agent smiths in suits it's kopite meffs in full kit with klopp masks. That's the general state of play in Liddypewl.
