Advice on moving to Liverpool

Lol it must be me thinking Kensington in London is nice and equating the other to be nice too ??
I have a mate who is unfortunate enough to live in the delightful "Kenny "
If you can live with the locals having huge barbecues on the pavement in front of their house most weekends and inviting all their mates , you may like it there ? ? ?

My advice would be to avoid it like the plague !

That's not even in the top 5 reasons I wouldn't move to Kenny.

Having lived in a couple of rough areas throughout my life it really is utterly crap living in an area where there's lots of anti social behaviour. It just wears you down.

You just get fed up of the constant screaming and shouting, litter everywhere, loud music, dogs always barking, kids screaming, sirens, ice cream van every single fkn day, kids with quad bikes and scramblers, fireworks at any time of year.

Personally I'd choose the nicest area you can afford. Joining the Nogga Dogs isn't the one I'm afraid.

Duly noted haha
Norris Green and Kensington ….I have lived in Liverpool for decades and I actually don’t recall setting foot in these places. Maybe passed by in the car but that’s it…nice places:Blink:

There are loads of reasonably priced flats Lark Lane / Aigburth area. Easy to get to town and loads of bars and restaurants in Lark Lane ;)

Lark lanes been mentioned a few times, I’ll be looking around there certainly

You really need to move out of Formby mate

If you can see yourself living in Norris Green I would seek therapy for your low self esteem.
It's a badge of honour for some.

I was in a Chinese all-you-can-eat place and there was a family there happily eating away. By the time the fella had put away his fourth plate or so he started casually mentioning to anyone and everyone within earshot that the food was really dry. This opinion wasn't just cropping up in passing conversation - he was actively engaging anyone who entered his eyeline to tell them how dry the food was.

Course the next person he told was the fella at the counter as it was the main reason he had no intention of paying for the dry food he and his family had just spent the last hour eating and refilling their plates with. The fella at the counter wasn't too impressed by this reasoning and insisted upon payment so the customer took two steps back, stretched out his arms and loudly pronounced...

"I'm from Norris Green me lad!"

This is a restaurant that I'd once seen being visited out of hours by a rather stern looking group of Asian gentleman in very expensive looking cars. The sort who have someone come round and open their car door for them. I could be putting 2 + 2 together and coming up with 5 but I don't think they were too arsed about a scally from Norris Green tbh.
