I hope, and believe, it's all just paper talk. He definitely needs to be part of the first team squad this season, especially with Bolasie out until whenever.

Having said that, I do think some of us are building him up far too much at the moment. Don't get me wrong, I think he has the potential to be an absolute worldie. The skill set, balance and touch he has are things that can't be taught and are not that common either. But he's still 19 and has so much to learn. It will be completely understandable if he has more poor games than good ones at this stage in his career, and also expect him to drift out of games too. Initially I'd give him game time from the bench and starting in some of our cup games. Hopefully his form will be so good that Koeman is forced to start him more often, but I think the likelihood is that some on here will be frustrated by his inconsistency.

I think he is good enough to play now, the only reason he does not in my opinion, is that he is that good he will immediately be on the conveyor
belt to Old Trafford with thier dross coming the other way end of the season .........

He looks good and is full of confidence. Great player to have in the bench this season who can push for starting spot if he is that good. Don't send him out on loan !

To be fair much of the loan speculation is coming from clubs that want him, not necessarily from Everton. Papers have to write about something.

Think we should keep him personally. We're gonna need someone with that kind of pace in certain games. I'm sure he'll see plenty of time from the bench too.
Could be a big year for him, GCSE's aside.

Hes got nothing to prove or gain at a lower level. He was pivotal to the World Cup success in the Summer..not just speed and flair but the natural ability to link play with intelligent passing. Im looking forward to seeing him doing the same for us goodstyle and frequently.

From the little I saw of Onyekuru yesterday Lookman is the more direct and the better player, so it'll be interesting to see how they both develop this season.

I am not sure why but Koeman don't seem to fancy the player...he is clearly one of a ver few bunch of players that can give us that creativity/pace required to open up games. For me he should play before Naismith oups sorry Klassen...
