Have to agree. I imagine people wouldn’t have to go too far back in this thread to find people commenting on a performance where very little was delivered.

He’s clearly got talent and is still a young kid. He needs to be played and allowed to develop his talent. I think he can be great but people are going over the top.

Ive got big hopes for the lad for sure.

Bags and bags of potential, but the way some are going on I suspect he we will be approaching Messi levels the longer he goes without playing.

By October there will probably be calls on here for him to be sent out to a Championship side because he has some poor performances.

..I suppose much depends on who comes in. Currently most would expect Lookman to be ahead of Bolasie in getting game time but there are links with Hirving Lozano at PSV and young Kluivert at Ajax. Be interesting what the summer brings.

Lozano is better on the right...Kluivert better on the left...and lookman best in the middle.

..I think he could be amazing but then again he could go the way of other talented youngsters. He’s very comfortable on either side, truly two footed and he’s clearly confident in his own ability. He lacks purpose for me in that he’ll cut inside lots, going into areas of the pitch that don’t matter, rather than concentrating on hurting the opposition.

I think he needs to be coached and needs talking through games. Get at your full back, get beyond him and get into goal scoring areas when the ball is on the other side of the pitch.

I will stick my neck out here and say that is the sort of thing Silva is known for... coaching young players and getting them to play in a system. From what I have read he has used the 4141 formation but it will be interesting to see if that's based on the players available or style preferred.
Lookman would fit well on the outside of the front four.

Lookman did not come from our youth scheme. We gambled upwards of £8m for him from Charlton. If the Germans rave about him(?) let them pay through the nose for him. Otherwise give him a good chance next season and it is down to him to produce the goods.

Ive seen nothing of him for us to mark him out as a definite first teamer or a sure thing top prem player.

I think Bolasie may well be shifted.

I still like the lad and think his injury has a massive part in his loss of form, but if one winger has to go then it should be him, imo.

I can see us signing 4-5 players this summer max. And tbf, as long as they're quality, first-team ready players, that's fine.

Bolasie wouldn't just be the only one ha mirallas and I'll have to now admit Sandro will be going. Maybe even vlasic and /or do well out on loan too. We're heavily stocked and tbh I like them all...yet none are actually top quality.
