Ademola Lookman

Disagree mate - he's a serial sulker.

I've said for months on here he wants off.

Remember, he dug his heels in over Leipzig rather than Derby who the clubs management wanted him to go to, and he's digging his heels in again. He wants to leave, Leipzig knows it - hence the low bids and repeated public comments.

Hopefully a run of games and renewed atmosphere around the club will change his mind but currently, he wants off.

Silva recently talking up the importance of camaraderie and Lookman being "injured" - not hard to read between the lines.

i heard he felt the club basically abandoned him when he first signed, let him stay in a hotel for months with little or no help. how true that is i dont know.

We replaced Stones with Williams. Brute negligence.

Lukaku was sold with no replacement, fortunately Niasse emerged and Tosun was purchased. Brute negligence.

Delefeou was barely sighted in the first team and loaned to Milan. And we had option to buy back first. Perhaps was the easiest to keep of all 4. Brute negligence.

Barkley was a dime. Rare, hard to find midfielder who took his vengeance out by snaking the club of 25m because Koeman wanted to seem tough in front of the media.

Look forward to booing Barkley when I watch Perth v Chelsea tonight.
I am not sure the Chelsea fans would agree with your assessment of Barkley. They believe we got the better end of the deal. I don't question the power strength or physical ability of Barkley at the highest level but I would question his intelligence as a footballer.
Deulofeu... what has he done since he left to warrant our not keeping him as brute negligence ? We are prepared to pay a lot of money for a Watford player... but it certainly isn't him.

I absolutely agree with the stupidity of not replacing Barkley and having Niasse at the club but treating him as an outcast... stupid beyond belief.

The Lookman situation amazes me. He came from a lower league club as an unproven youngster and was immediately put in the first team... far quicker than most young players could ever hope.

I expect that we treated him no differently to any other player when he first came to the club and looked after him as well/badly as everybody else. Being badly looked after by the club is not a common theme.. the opposite in fact.

Lookman has impressed in flashes and may become a very good player but he certainly is not that at present.

He may have been unhappy with previous managers but Silva is a new manager and a fresh start... hopefully he will at least give him a fair chance... the window to Germany is open until Aug 31st.

H

Said the same myself a while back;

He's only 20 mate.

We paid a record fee to bring him in in January from a league one club.

He played a few games in the run in to that season - he was never going to be a regular and if anything, we put him in to soon. Koeman was very clear at the time he was one for the future.

Last season was his first season really, the whole season was a nightmare - Allardyce mainly for Lookman but he bailed after a few months on loan.

He's been publicly backed by Everton's new regime and should be chomping at the bit this season at Everton, but I get the feeling he isn't and wants off.

Still really confused with the negativity on Lookman and the “situation”, Silva has been nothing but positive on Lookman’s behaviour. Until something changes there’s no reason for us not to remain positive.

Understandably the signing of Richarlison will cast doubt over Lookman but let’s hope it’s Bolasie and Mirallas who’ve had their opportunities.

I believe there will be sensational news this week starting tomorrow as Marco wields the axe. Some of the regular names we see on here will vanish into obscurity. Talking about obscurity I wonder when Chelsea will ditch Barkley? Bournemouth might like him.

Just stick a massive sell on percentage on the deal and be done with the sulking little quilt.

Just another promising young player trying to get away from us as fast as possible. Nothing new there and you should all be used to the new Everton now.

Well I know a lot can change in 20 years, but I remember bumping into John Oster. He was living in a house in Rainhill with his girlfriend & said no one at the club had ever been there. Not staff or players. He looked lost. OK, you could say “who cares, he’s getting £Xk per week”, but they’re just young kids, who’ve been mollycoddled their whole lives. He also said at Grimsby, they organised stuff for the lads to do after training. At EFC they all just went home.

Ignoring the human side, surely it make no business sense to pay these kids huge wads of money & not keep an eye on them. Make sure they’re happy, keeping good habits etc..

I do wonder if his attitude is known in the business?

If this figure of €20m is being banded about, you would think there’d be plenty of interest for an English u20 WC winner.

if it does still happen it is ridiculous but not really surprising under the previous regime. i'd hope brands would put something in place to put an end to anything like that.

Everton have someone who is specifically involved in helping new players settle in. I know it was a few years back, but I use to live next to Mustafi and he was always looked after. I meet the Lady who use to do the same job for liverpool, I think she ended up being the one who was caught in bed with Ashely COle on them years back.

She obviously took her work very seriously.
