He will be back on the bench Saturday so that tells it’s own story
It's all about rotation mate. The wings seem to be the one area of the squad we have some genuine quality in depth. There are 4 wingers who are good enough to start premier league games for us, its all about picking and choosing to suit the opponent we are playing. For example, for me Bernard needs to start every game at home against the lesser sides as we need someone to pick the locks with quick incisive passing. But away from home against a big side then you'd go with Walcott and Richarlison for pace on the break.I understand your point, but at what point in his career does he get game time then? Is he developing on the bench? If we have Rich and Theo in his positions, basically he isn't going to get a game, so do we sell him, loan him out or just use him as and when and all wonder what if

I agree mate. I'm just assuming that Silva is gonna go with one of the actual strikers for now plus Sigurdsson so it would be the wings up for grabs. I'm all for throwing Richarlison up there asap though as the current set of strikers are woeful.Agree with the principle but I don't actually think Bernard's skill set is that suited to what you say it is, or at least there's more to his game than that.
I'd say he's actually one of our best players on the counter, because of that speed he has on the break and the composure he has to pick a pass.
Against the big sides, I would start to think about playing Richarlison centrally, with Bernard to the left and Walcott to the right.
