I was pissed for Adam. Shackled all season. For what? Mykolenko? McNeil? Why can’t Moyes ever try something incentive? Aznou was a dog ready for a fight. I actually got excited watching him. It’s how I feel about Armstrong. Give the fans excitement.

Honestly, this may be a stretch, but I’d rather see Aznou at LW over Grealish and McNeil. Jack brings the game to a grinding halt and only looks to assist. Adam is super fast. Dwight is slow and one-footed. Very predictable.

Grealish has to play when available. He could definitely move the ball quicker in the final third, but you see today how much control we lose not having him in the team.

He's someone you can always hit with the ball and he's not going to turn it over. If we're sticking with this formation I'd like to see Grealish play the 10 with Aznou/Ndiaye/Dibling either side.

The full back situation of Mykolenko/O’Brien or Patterson I honestly can’t see it getting any worse even if it’s a trade off for defensiveness for some attacking support that can do something I’m sure it would potentially even itself out.

sorry mate, you are swimming against the tide. most see Myko as a horrible player with an incredibly low ceiling. and we have struggled for 4 years with him occupying the position. time to try something new. Anzou has played LB throughout his career, the position is not foreign to him.

Even playing Aznou in the home games for now where we’re so ponderous and lacking any kind of attacking threat from the full backs. Mykolenko plays the away games where Moyes sets us up to just camp out on our penalty area and try to catch teams on the break.
Or play him left wing until Ndiaye gets back and put Grealish at 10. Something needs to change and this lad has shown some potential today.

He’d be more of a liability at left back as I said. Left wing aye he’s an option for sub.

I don't think anyone would be putting him in over Grealish at LM, so as you say he's at best an option there.

It's then a question of risk/reward at LB. Myko is solid defensively though personally I'd give that up to have a player overlap who Jack actually wants to pass to. Especially given the lack of threat on the right hand side as well.

Still though, unlike most of our business this summer, I like this transfer and I think he's clearly got something about him. Who knows if it will pan out, but I can't see us making a loss on him at the very least -- something I couldn't say about our other transfers.

Nah I thought he looked good for the duration of his cameo. Good desire, pressing and snapping into challenges, and looks like making something happen when he gets on the ball.

Exactly mate. I said yesterday he needed to be released. Moyes has done that today, far too late as it happens. But hopefully the tedium of the mykolenko years is finnaly coming to a close.

People are getting carried away because the likes of McNeil are so poor. Aznou looked great in comparison because he had a bit of desire. You're right that he struggled in extra time, but there'll doubtlessly be a clamour to play him all the time now.

This feels a little silly. Grealish is clearly the best footballer in our squad, but he is a creative focal point and needs runners around him. Without that he is going to focus on maintaining possession. To the point, Aznou should be starting every game at LB when available.

He has a nice touch, is clearly a much better crosser than Myko (the lowest possible bar) and generally better on the ball. But he gave the ball away and awful lot trying to dribble. If you do that at left back consistently you'll be really vulnerable on the break.

I’d say N’Diaye is the best footballer in our squad tbf

Not saying we shouldn’t start Grealish which we absolutely should, I don’t see why not try Aznou at LB - it’s not like we’re keeping loads of clean sheets lately anyway
