All the hallmarks of a youngster who will disappear for a few seasons pop up elsewhere in his mid 20’s playing well for the Spanish or Italian version of Everton, get linked to <insert Champs League team here> and we can all jump on missed opportunity band wagon 😂.
If the attitude stuff is true (and indications seem to be there’s something in it from what you posted) we shouldn’t be touching these players with a barge pole.
Moyes has demonstrated time and time again his methods do not resonate with players who think they have already arrived and talent alone will get them everything they think they deserve.
The recruitment group seem to have fallen down on the due diligence checks

There have been numerous times this season when the team needed impetus or simply a change from the bench. And Adam is a young, attacking full back who is an international and played in Spain and Germany and who offers something very different from Mylenko. Why not give him 15 or 20 minutes? Why not play Alcaraz earlier in games as for example in the Palace game? I bet that the manager at Bmouth would do it so why can't DM?

Any idea what these stats were? He's only 18 but he joined them on 3rd of feb and they picked up 1 point from a possible 48 in his loan spell. They literally got battered most weekends in la liga.
Im intrigued as to who watched him play in la liga which is a physical league but slower than the premier league and went yep he's sticking out as someone who will cut it in a faster paced league.
It looks a 9m roll of the dice. Would have been fine if we'd already had decent fullbacks.

Someone posted them when he was signing, whichever thread that was...or someone else can dig them up.

The defensive stats were amongst the best in europe and tackling (if i remember correctly) was in the top 99%.

Now, he was playing for the worst team in the league so defending is going to be high stats wise - but the success rates of tackles and interceptions, from memory, were very high.

Im not gona lie im struggling with that one.
I looked at a batch of games and they let in 16 goals in 4 games(could have been any batch, they were that bad)he played in. Are we saying it would have been 25 goals if he hadnt been producing the "best stats in Europe"

Its pushing it isnt it.

Is what it is. A gamble. Not one id have taken at this time.

Because they got relegated. He was rated extremely highly every game stats-wise so id imagine they would have wanted to keep him.
Yeah hopefully he does come good, another lad i knew nothing about before he came to us.

After reading some reports in here, and seeing his attitude In the U21's just something seems a bit off with him.

Maybe we sold him a good future, but he doesn't think he still has to deliver to stay part of it.

I dont know tho, hopefully something starts kicking on with him.

His tackling success stats were fairly average (the total numbers were, for obvious reasons as you say, insanely high). But that's fine for an 18 year old in his first top flight season for a team getting absolutely pummeled constantly. Oddly, his aerial win percentage stats were crazy good (top 2% for fullbacks in the top 5 leagues??), which implies to me he can at least compete physically.

He really is an excellent fullback prospect. The attacking stuff he does from there was absolutely wild at youth level too. Just hope he can step up to prem level defensively soon enough that his development doesn't get held back here.
