2025/26 Adam Aznou

Finishing where we have, with the run of form we have and Moyes stubbornly persisting with a tired 1st team while youngsters have had zero minutes is absolutely baffling. I genuinely don't understand the mindset that doesn't give a player signed in the summer even 1 minute of PL football while refusing to loan him out.

It feels petty and vindictive rather than developmental. His comments after the Sunderland FA Cup game felt petty and vindictive.

We're having to compete in increasingly difficult markets against teams with sophisticated scouting who will be looking at young players to sell on.

No way would any of those players choose Everton over other teams - not with Moyes in charge.
This is the damage that Moyes will truly cause us…

Makes me so angry… Another one where the club will regret not playing them and then they go on to do great things.
I genuinely don't know if we will, he does seem to be a bit immature and has moved from club to club, but I cannot imagine him having zero minutes for any other premier league club.

We've done nothing with him.

This is the thing. In all honesty we don't really know anything about the lad, in an actual footballing sense, because he simply has not been given the minutes. And all along he has to endure the reality of this week on week, being overlooked and left to rot on the bench. Who can blame the lad for looking for his kicks elsewhere?

Agreed most other Prem clubs, if they signed him, would sensibly look towards integrating him via actually playing him.

Regarding immaturity. Mmmm.. well, okay but he's a nineteen year old lad.

Nope. I wouldn't sell him because of it, it's just not behaviour I like from my players. People like Xavi Simons do the same thing, Rashford has done a few bits on social media, Salah's nonsense, just think they're all bells.
And Harry Maguire. Particularly Harry Maguire.

It is an unusual situation with Aznou.

I wonder when he signed last summer what was the agreement between club and agent... because surely this must have been spoken about.
I think most of us realised fairly quickly that he wasn't being signed to immediately challenge for left back, that he was more of a work in progress.
But as I see it the manager/club has not followed through on promises made or the player feels that he should be getting more game time which was never promised.

I don't know, I doubt we will get any clarity but as a very young inexperienced player I think he should keep away from the media, he can express his unhappiness privately at the club as can his agent and representatives.

He has a dreadful attitude. You cannot be doing this as a professional footballer. We (rightly) ripped into Barry's outbursts on social media, and Aznou should be ripped into too.
For reposting someone stating "To think that he didn't play in the AFCON and won't play in the World Cup, even though he is not injured” along with a sad smiley?

Aznou explained: “[Moyes] talked with me, he spoke with me about the team and how he wants me. So I decided directly when I spoke with him.
“I decided really quickly because of the words he gave me. He gave me confidence, so I decided to sign.”

On his latest signing, Moyes said: “We are pleased to bring Adam to Everton. He’s a young talented player with a lot of potential.
“Left-backs are not easy to get and we’ve brought in a young player who we hope will grow in his time at Everton.”
