2025/26 Adam Aznou

What was the point in signing him in the first place? A favour for an agent? A tax write off? Recruitment strategy written on a lavatory wall?
Just thinking that. What is Moyes saying “he won’t get a game in the position we signed him” so why did you sign him you idiot! And why won’t he get a game? Because he’s not 6foot tall, strong in the air and built like a tank?

Just really poor man management from Moyes, same as with Tyler.

The lad came in and changed the game against Sunderland, then hasn’t had a kick, it’s mad.

No Myko and not starting or on the bench today.
Feel sorry for the lad - playing for Morroco before joining my us, can’t get a kick all season.

Best of luck to him, hope he gets some football and does well.

Seems clear now loan will finally be green lit. Never understand bringing in a player like him yet never be played, no sporting logic there when clearly they had to have known what they were buying. Player has to feel a bit deceived but stranger is the sporting policy by Everton IMHO

On player side, does remind me that youth players at La Masia in a rush to make a name for themselves sacrifice development for money in the hand. If he does go on loan, it'll be his 4th team since leaving Barça as a 16 yr old in 4 years - multiple coaches, playing styles & tactics. Big picture I hope his career goes well but also a cautionary tale for trusting in the development course laid out rather than management circle seeking quick paydays

The club buys the players these days, not the manager. Buying a teenager for the future for £9m is not the same as buying a 25yo for millions and not playing them.
Just because a manager on a short term contract says ok to buying a player, it doesn’t always mean that they are ready to play or that there is any expectation for the player, club, manager or anyone else that they will be playing immediately.
With a bigger squad, he may have been bought and loaned out immediately.
There’s also a reason why Barca and Bayern have sold him

Not strong enough and now he’s about 8” too short to play fullback. It will be interesting to see where he goes out on loan because if it’s not a physically demanding league, what is the point?
