I agree with the first part, but changing the formation and leaving Mykolenko there is a half-measure. Which I guess isn't all that surprising, but frustrating nonetheless.Doing that led to a vastly improved second half performance.
I'll agree Myko was pretty Myko going forward but the change to 3 at the back did allow the wing-backs to engage higher up with a degree of protection behind, restrict Leeds passing channels and allow the central midfield to crowd and pressure the middle of the pitch.
As soon as it went to 1-1, the game is on the table to win. As ever, we lacked any sort of ambition to roll the dice and win. Not saying the Aznou sub would have guaranteed the win but I’m 100% confident we’d have had more of a threat in the last 15 minutes. We already had 3 CBs on the pitch, why not gamble (I know, Moyes)As soon as he went three at the back aznou should have been put on to give more impetus on the left
Aznou:Feel sorry for the lad. He must look at the player blocking his path & the dinosaur not picking him and wonder why he’s here.
DM had his arm up his back when he made that statement .....Aznou:
“I feel really good here,” the 19-year-old explained.
“I really like how the team is with me, and how everyone – the staff, the manager, the fans – is with me. It feels like everyone is behind me and I’m really excited to be part of this journey.”

It’s a joke mate, I can’t be having Myko or McNeil after last nights showings.Knowing Moyes he will want to get to 40 points before giving Aznou or Dibling a run of games
In brief Dithering Dave ....Aznou coming on yesterday is such an easy win for Moyes. Type of decision that would go a long way convincing skeptics that he can adapt his game.
He just can't do it though. Not an incompetent manager but just someone who is never ever going to roll the dice in moments like that.
He was more terrified of making a change that led to losing, than he was eager to make one that really went at Leeds while we were on top in the game.Aznou coming on yesterday is such an easy win for Moyes. Type of decision that would go a long way convincing skeptics that he can adapt his game.

You're spot on. Really frustrating but hopefully McNeil's lack of application defensively could mean Dibling may get a run of games now, you would hope so at least. Think with Moyes you can at least say that for all his bias against younger players, he won't be having a senior pro jogging around like that.He was more terrified of making a change that led to losing, than he was eager to make one that really went at Leeds while we were on top in the game.
It’s the same reason he’s been so reticent to use Dibling. I think there’s this inherent thought process with DM that youth = untrustworthy in the important moments. He’d rather have a relatively defensively sound plodder on the pitch because they have the mythical PL experience.
Against Leeds we had 3CBs and Gana on the pitch
. There was no need at all to have defensive WBs. With that said I thought Dibling to WB was a bad call, but when you have a very defensive LB at WB, and a player that looks made for the position on the bench that strikes me as a bit negligent.
