2025/26 Adam Aznou

Wouldnt put him left back. Even the sunderland game he lost the ball to much but dont mind him doing that high up the pitch being positive.
Could have thrown him on for 10/15 mins and just said go attack their fullback.

Was tailor made for him last night.

At home, three centre backs offering cover and we’re chasing the game.

Myko having a stinker, crowd on his back.

Aznou was the difference against Sunderland and he absolutely could’ve contributed last night.

Baffling to see him kept on the bench.
yeah I don’t understand the Moyes logic.

I will say that going to a back three and not bringing him was not a good decision. What's the point of bringing on a third CB and not having attacking wing backs?
You might have felt differently if he lost the ball in a bad area and we conceded on the break. All these calls to start him will change the minute he makes an error.

I've squarely been in the he hasn't earned it yet camp. The point is more tactical, why remove an attacker and bring on another defender, while down a goal, if your wing backs can't make it up the pitch and contribute to attack?

Doing that led to a vastly improved second half performance.

I'll agree Myko was pretty Myko going forward but the change to 3 at the back did allow the wing-backs to engage higher up with a degree of protection behind, restrict Leeds passing channels and allow the central midfield to crowd and pressure the middle of the pitch.
