Unless he expressed a desire to leave for personal reasons someone at the club obviously feels he's surplus to requirements now. Like you say on current form as good an option if not better than Yannick and Gylfi. Can only hope this trimming of the squad allows us to get players in positions we desperately need.
Great move for Lennon though. Hopefully he does well there and ends his career on a high

him, niasse and rooney have at times really bailed us out of horrible situations
