not saying hes a world beater, but I think "garbage" is harsh
and I think at this moment players like him are important to get us out of our slump,
I think the most dangerous thing about him is his pace, not even that he uses it effectively, but as a defender they cant push up too much as they will worry he would have them for pace on the break
He's the only attacking player (hell even a few of the midfielders and defenders) who knows how to defend period.I said earlier in the week, he is the only player in the squad who actually understands how to press. Missed the game due to being abroad , but made up he played well
Probably because our squad was a lot better back then. There was a time on this forum where everyone was calling for his head, then he went out for mental health issues. Seems like after that everyone rated him though he hadn't played a game in the meantime.
I think he's easily our most overlooked player and always leaves it all on the pitch. Made up he got a chance last night. We need someone like him who can run right at the defence and also drop back to support his own defence. May not be the best of passers but on his day he can really trouble a back four.
I'd be willing to bet it was personally turned down by Lennon given where he was at mentally at that point.I know Burnley were VERY keen to take Lennon on loan (with a view to buy) on the latest transfer deadline day (Aug 31) - I'm not sure whether Koeman blocked it, Lennon did not fancy it or wages were a problem. Dyche obviously rates him.
