I haven't read any of the thread but I'll wade in with my thoughts.

Take it back and get a PC. Massive waste of money and only appropriate for people with man bags, and who pay £200 for hair cuts.

**** sake, what a load of rubbish this has came out.

I asked a simple question.

It dosent have to be a strong spec (700mhz would do) and preferably it'll be a a laptop.

Oh, it's a serious question? In that case I'll be happy to help, what's your budget??

If you're just looking at having a tinker with the OS, depending on how tech savy you are you could try this:

Hackintosh Instructions, Hackintosh How To Guides @ Hackintosh.com
OSx86 Project | InsanelyMac

Let me know your budget if you want to use apple hardware and i'll have a scout around for you. Also, it would be handy to know if you know of anyone who is a student at uni? If you do you'd be in for a hefty 14% discount with a 3 year warranty for next to nothing or even free

Top man. + Rep.

Zune HD? Goodness you really must be having a laugh

Nope, dead serious. Have you played with the Zune software recently? Seriously good stuff. And the reason I pick the Zune HD is purely because it is a good mp3/video/wi-fi device, but it has an OLED screen. Tell me thats not cool.

Oh, and I really don't give a crap who makes something, if it is the best on the market then it is the best.

I am not a fanboy, I simply buy whatever is fastest and gives me the most functionality.

Right now that is Win 7 and a PC, and for media that is a Zune HD, and phone is my Blackberry (although that new Nexus One from HTC looks very appetizing)

I have to agree an OLED is indeed cool, not sure why you had to ruin your fairly level headed comments with the blackberry claim mind. That's one phone I hate, I've had to use them in several jobs and even sold the thing, never liked them. I used to be a straight up Nokia/ winmobile fan, I still miss being able to whip out a bluetooth keyboard and use it on my winmobi b)

I LOVE my Blackberry. I do know that it is an either love it or hate it phone, and no in-between. WinMo has had issues in the past, but HTC's latest version that they reskinned on the HTC HD2 makes it look a very tempting propositon (that and the HD2 blows everything away in the benchmarks.....thank you 1Ghz Snapdragon)

Although I am thinking the HTC Nexus One is the next one for me....the new Google phone running the latest Android which looks awesome.

I love gadgets, there is no prejudice in my choices, I really research stuff and go for the best fit for me, which (for all the crap we give ghost) is what everyone should do. Just not Apple :P
