We’d have to probably lose every game to go down. We probably only need three points from ten games to be safe. We’ve played most of the top 6 twice already. It would take the worst run of form of any team this season for us to go down.

We still have to play City & Liverpool. Realistically it will be hard to pick up any points in those two games. The majority of our fixtures after that are away against teams below us. We're terrible away from home, so we could easily lose or draw in those games. Of course we can still be relegated.

And the 11 teams below us are so great? We 27 games into a season, but suddenly all these teams below us are going to pick up form and move past us?

You don't think we can pick up the 4-6 points needed from 11 games?

We are 9th. Should be aiming for the 2 teams directly above us, not worrying about relegation.
 

We can still be relegated but it's unlikely. I think the team that finishes 18th could end up with anything between 34 and 40 points. They all could realistically pick up 4 wins and 2 draws so until we actually get the points that make us safe I would say you can't rule it out. I think we'll probably finish 8th or 9th but at the start of season I thought we'd challenge for top 4 so what do I know!!

Apart from Brighton, what games can you really see us winning in March? Slim chance of us beating Watford also.

I think relegation is an unlikely scenario, especially since there exists the buffer of so many bog average teams presently below us: but I have not totally dismissed its possibility. I have also not dismissed the possibility of getting into Europe next season.
It's been a rum season.
