6 + 2 Point Deductions

Where was this about not setting a precedent?

This text, in my opinion, is setting out that this case will not set a precedent and that all future cases will be treated and punished/unpunished on their own merit. It gives the ability for any other gathering to come to a completely different conclusion, with no boundary of range.

There is no fixed formula to be applied: we are required to determine the extent of the culpability, and from that to determine the points deduction. That requires the exercise of our discretion as a specialist panel, and a determination to be made based on all the facts of the case.

Im not trying to prove any point, I was honestly just curious what other people feel is a "fair" punishment.

Clearly you feel a points deduction is a fair punishment, which is laughable. But then you also think DCL is an elite forward who would be of interest to any serious football club.

I dont think a fine or a Transfer ban would act as a deterrent.

In the EFL they take points, so thus a points removal would be a fair punishment.

Given the mitigation and our frugal spending, I would be wanting it suspended.

But no problem.

Well for Everton, in Summer 2024, it would finish us off.

So I assume you think a transfer ban is a fair punishment?

Whats stopping somebody from spending 2billion on players knowing they would only get a transfer ban.

I think a transfer ban would’ve been a hell of a lot fairer than a TEN POINT DEDUCTION. Transfers are actually relevant to club finances. Having said that, not being able to buy a striker who’s familiar with a goal net in the summer and having to watch DCL flounder about trying to score a goal again next season scares me more than any points deduction.

I dont want a 10 point deduction.

And we might wanna consider creating chances for our Striker if we want him to score, but thats for another thread.
