6 + 2 Point Deductions

Thinking we are head and shoulders above Bournemouth?

I don't think it, I know we are.

Don't ever post such nonsense to me again if you think I'll engage with a nugget like you who thinks its arrogant of an Evertonian to know that we are and always will be above the likes of Bournemouth .

Dear me, what a whopper you are lol
And this is the problem. Historically we have always been light years ahead of them... today, even with our 10 pts back, we'd be just 2 pts above them. Last season they finished two places above us. Some folks can't accept the reality that other teams have caught us and even passed us. In this case, we are no better than Bournemouth.

Sorry, but our own arrogance is our downfall here. The arrogance of an owner who thought he could throw money around. The arrogance of players who took the money and delivered F.A and now the arrogance of fans who think that breaking the rules isn't beyond us.

Won't reveal how/why because it'll give us away - but it's usually very easy to spot when we actually review the account.

Vast majority of the time when people are claiming kopite (and I'd be one if I was a member...), it's just a miserable arse blue.
Sorry mate but you have definitely been slow on the uptake with some of these cretins. Everyone on here knows who they are. So do you

If you told me we’d stay up it would actually be in football’s best interest to throw the book at us, simply to show the agenda that the Premier League has against clubs outside the “top 6”.

If we ended up with a 20 point deduction, only for the rules to be changed next season so that the likes of City or Chelsea wouldn’t face the same punishment it would actually be great because it would all but guarantee mass outrage and ultimately the Premier League itself stripped of its power in these situations.

If that were the case it’s possible that the game would not be doomed to fail, as it is now. Don’t get me wrong, Everton is the priority and we need to stay up but if our points get restored we all know it’s guaranteed to let the others get away with it. Like I say, if we could afford to take the hit, survive and get it over with we would be potentially saving football from the “top 6” and the PL’s tainted influence.
Mass outrage?

Er no, nobody beyond the supporters would give a S.

Stop living in cloud cuckoo land mate.

Maybe if you are a Chelsea fan but we support Everton.

The last trophy you won was in 1995. My point is that of course we all want to win things because as I said that’s the ultimate aim but surely you get a buzz after a win or after a goal. What about meeting up with your mates or the thrill of entering the stadium. And yes it was a low but surely there was elevation about the end of last season ?

Ok these are difficult days for all of you but just as there are those good times there are almost inevitably those lows . The points deduction for 21/22 won’t cause relegation and that’s not yet 100% confirmed

As for the second charge like I said yesterday I think there is a lot yet To happen re the sanction if not the charge.

Will you go into administration? I just can’t see that happening the prospect of a new stadium , your owner’s financial input to date ( which he will want to get some sort of return on even its 10p in the £ and finally your owners contacts although if he through association with a sanctioned individual himself gets sanctioned then all bets would be off

If

It’s pretty obvious that no clubs save possibly Arsenal and maybe Spurs thought that points deductions would follow a FFP charge we, Chelsea, certainly didn’t.
I don’t think any of the PL ( who thought up the tariff for FFP indiscretions) have or do have links to any club but they won’t be the ones that decide in your short term it will be a 75% majority of clubs.
The trouble is the cat is out of the bag I am not quite sure how they can row back from points deduction the imminent appointment of a regulator creates even more challenges

As far as im aware a date for our Appeal has never been mooted.

They have until at least April to hear our Appeal I suppose.

Based on their new timeline it's 1 month for the appeal to be processed.

Our first appeal was back in November and we're in January now.

Bit mad what the PL are doing.

That's their timeline for this season. This has all come far too late, it should have been done as soon as they introduced P&S. Admittedly we'd probably have been relegated, but to try and bring this in after the fact is going to be difficult.

Bournemouth are an interesting case in that they have ambitions to build a new stadium at Matchams ( if any of you know the geography) was suggested but little has been said for a while almost certainly the cost of circa £500 million is too rich but it’s worth taking time to look at the vast majority of current or past PL clubs current situation a year or two after they built a new stadium because history suggests that in balance a new build stadium, funded by the club, isn’t quite all its cracked up to be
A total of 50 clubs have been in the PL since its formation 22 had new stadia
Reading, Barnsley, Middlesbrough,Coventry , Hull, Southampton, Wigan, Bolton, Swansea, Huddersfield,Cardiff ,Derby, Middlesbrough, Stoke, Sunderland and Leicester . 16 in number are no longer members .
So by default 6 still are.
Brighton are doing well but their owner is owed circa £300 million and that’s despite huge transfer income
Brentford are 2 years into their new stadium they have done well to date but let’s see assess them in a season or two.
Man City. Didn’t pay the cost of theirs
WHU . Again didn’t pay anything other thatn a token sum
Spurs . Fabulous stadium they seem to have got it right . Boo!
Arsenal. Some 20 years on seem to be getting back but something that passes many by is that from having cash reserves that outstripped debt just 10 years ago they are now close to £750 million in debt

Shut up

Two things…

Either they are kicking it down the road so a second points deduction rolls over to next year to minimise the noise or they are frantically trying to figure out how to get out of the mess they’ve made of this at the PL end

Or

Utter gross incompetence

I’d suggest a bit of both…

I wouldn’t waste your energy mate. I haven’t come across a blue that doesn’t accept we’ve broken rules but argues the rules at rubbish however the penalty is absolutely unacceptable.

This chap is clearly either trying the long game windup or isn’t actually a blue. Some of the nonsense posted is a prime example why the game is dead.

Listening to Talksport this week about palace, seemingly saying the best they can ever hope for is tenth in the league and not bother with cups. About as miserable as the moyes years taking the kitchen drawer to a gunfight…. Is that the best this league can offer? That doesn’t sound to me to be a competition, more of an entertainment show fixed for the top brands.

We are bigger than Bournemouth, just have less cash. Just another one to put on ignore and let the mods do the rest
