6 + 2 Point Deductions

Given we pleaded guilty that could be tricky. I think we have to hope that common sense prevails and we get a reduced deduction, personally I would hope 6 points for the initial breach and 2 for the 2nd breach based on the fact we'd already have been punished for 2 out of the 3 years. They could then give Forest a 6 point deduction. Both of those penalties would be harsh, ours harsher than theirs due to 2 breaches, dissuade others from breaking the rules and still give both teams a chance of not being relegated due to off pitch activities.
Still think it could just stick to the 10 and would look at the other then. Because is the hears already covered would get less pounts taken off with the first penalty also less, would then open the door to give forest a similar one

Seems that it may not be that sinple

4.2. 4.3 and 4.4 stand out big time there with everything that has been made public about the IC and everything else that’s fallen into the plug domain and that is only what has been made public.

The threat of not taking it is enough to make the PL want this story to go away but a good lawyer will do the rest.

That fella, the man city fan, im convinced is on the PL payroll. Funny how he's been rolled out after Masters took a kicking. City fans are lapping him up and he's certainly not backing away from the admiration. Ive read him the last few days and he's knocking absolutely everything Everton back. To the point that its almost like its coming from PL headquarters. And the reason city fans are loving him is because he's already putting it out there that city will be so complicated and hard to prove.
I smell a bit of a rat with him. Its all to convenient that he's drip feeding.

I’m glad Forest have been dragged into this because it highlights further how ‘unfit for purpose’ the rules are. Breaching P & S because they hung on until late in the transfer window to get a good price off Spurs for Johnson. Any business is better selling an asset for £15m more in August than if they sold in June. You could understand it if they had to repay a loan by 30th June but not to comply with some poorly thought out PL regulations. Wouldn’t the P & S calculation be better if it covered the annual period 1st Sept to 31st August. 31st August is a significant cut off as player trading (which has a huge effect on club finances) is ceased until January. Currently Johnson’s sale money would not be in the figures but would be noted in Forest’s accounts as a post balance sheet event which would give assurance to the reader that they would be on a sound financial footing.

Thats not our issue though really is it, we didnt set the timelines or process - im not even sure what the timeline around it is, also creates a headache for the PL, EFL and a scatter of clubs, wed have the least to loose, because if we got to that stage wed have likely lost everything anyway and if found guilty of the second charge we could do it twice.
Exactly, the fact it takes additional time is in our favour. It’s a huge problem for the league, if we’re getting relegated by the decision anyway it’s no odds to us how long the extra process takes.

I think he’s slightly wrong there, those might be the grounds to have the decision changed at arbitration but who determines whether you have grounds to go to this process? It can only be the arbitrator themself (the league or IC can’t decide this). So logically if you demand to take it to arbitration you have at least the right to put your case.

He is being addressed as an expert but he wasn’t just rolled out after Masters questioned by the MPs indeed he has been out there for a long while. He really isn’t close to being on the PLs payroll.
I have issues with a lot of things he has said about quite a few matters but at the end of the day he won’t have seen anything different ( well if he has he shouldn’t) from what we have seen. So whilst far more legal background than most if not all of us he is like all from rival clubs, me included bias so won’t all see it the same way.
I think it’s fair to say that in terms of the defence put to the PL by Everton officials it left a lot to be desired so to be fair to him I don’t think he isn’t too far off the mark about the findings and I am not sure I have seen him pass to much comment about the extent of the sanction which is for me the major injustice

Absolutely. Might as well go down kicking and screaming. Just seen a Notts Forest fan on football focus. Was a right wet lettuce.

It's incredibly weird how anybody other than the most hopeless city fans are buying anything that guy is selling. His whole giddy "but you can't prove the charges against city - trust me, I'm a lawyer" thing is so slimy and trolly. It's also inherently dishonest, given that City's commercial income has over the years included sources that were not just fraudulent, but flagrantly so, like published sponsorships from companies (at least one, anyway) that literally did not exist at any point as going concerns. And some of the other stuff like third party payments to players and managers should also be very easy to prove.

Think you are right

If Everton submit the relevant form then arbitration has deemed to have started so by its nature a request to put the matter to arbitration will start the process.

I can’t remember the full history of the case , and I know it was the EFL not the PL, but QPR had their sanction reduced and that wasn’t at a IC

Inappropriate Language

He was in the talksport studio the very next day after Masters parliamentary sh!t show defending the PL and putting the boot into Everton. You've only got to read the city fans comments about him to see what they think. He's very subtle how he goes about it but he most certainly doesnt go for the jugular in the same way he does with Everton. Nothing would surprise me. The PL took a kicking in the commons. And now this fella is banging their drum.
Ok.

Yeah I think he’s confused the grounds to alter the decision with the grounds to GET to arbitration. If you claim those grounds the only way to determine your claim is the arbitration itself.

Didn’t quite say it like you have but yesterday I referenced something he has repeated on a several occasions and on Bluemoon and this week on Talksport where he suggesting that It’s impossible near enough for the PL to prove the main charges because it almost impossible to believe that such powerful and well placed individuals would have all to be proven to have committed perjury for it to be true

Not sure he’s any sort of shill but you have to remember with these media football finance / legal experts is there is so much money in this field that the real top experts will be working away, not chatting about it on Talksport and arguing all day with folk on Twitter.
