I'm hoping driverless, automated cars will be mandatory on motorways, then we can all travel at 120mph, along the motorway, to where ever we are going and just sit in the back, watch a film, just chill out and relax.

The article below talks about an idea that with Automated Cars, you wouldn't even have to own one, you could pay a monthly subscription and just book one to take you where you want to go. An interesting concept, one that might work in densely populated cities, but I still think most people would want their own cars for general use

Also I'm hoping for faster air travel, supersonic flights, new York to London in 11 minutes would be great

I won't really care really. I'll spend my twilight years ignoring what's going on around me and having the sole purpose in life of telling people how much of a cock Phil Neville was.

Not much will change.

Still waiting on flying cats and robot butlers from 50 years ago lol

I'd imagine just a dependency on technology more in the home, completely online services and a lot less freedom in that respect ala 1984.
behave.

2050 is 34 years away.

34 years ago was 1982.

Not much has changed since then eh?

Anyway, I reckon thought power will be where it's at by then. Perhaps even some sort of merging of computer and brain.

Computers and robots will do vastly more jobs than today and there will have to be a seismic shift in how employment works, as I expect there will be less jobs per capita than ever.

still waiting for the stuff the promised in the 1950's

not holding out any hope for making it to then, nor any of the things that were promised before or now.

life's pretty much EFC writ large, it's the hope that kills you and what ever you think will happen won't and what does won't be too crack hot.

Trumps Ninth Term.

Will? It already has.

I'm stunned that you think nothing will change in 34 years.
not to a large extent mate no, only the online mentality that has developed. Apart from superficial technology (which existed back then as well, walkmans, nes etc) only atitudes have changed. Hell the government is the same as it was 34 years ago! potentially a non politician to become president, like back then, i really cant see a massive difference in life that is sustancial, only superficial
