I've still no idea why they choose to group it all. The States could easily do all of it already even with 48 teams

Less competition. Mexico probably wanted to host as well so instead of fighting them on it we invited them to join us. 60/80 games are going to be in the US. Also FIFA was expanding this to 48 regardless of where it was hosted. Infantanio was trying to get it to 48 for Qatar 2022

I think the quarters, semis and final are all in the states. Or as they will now be known 'the pepsi super 8's, the go daddy dreamy 4 and the home depot mega final bowl'.
