A great draw for us. Sure, very difficult in Prague or Olomouc or wherever they take us, but more difficult than Budapest? Not a chance. We had to win there - a draw in the Czech Republic and a win on pens will do us fine. Tough? Sure. Underdogs? Definitely. Hope? Loads of it.

The real beauty is if we win we are in Dublin against beatable opposition. That's a massive carrot, or Parrott even.

Many years ago I would have absolutely looked forward to this tournament as the WC was my favorite footie tournament back then. Now, it has become commercialized, corrupt, and in a host country where half the population has lost its mind. I regret not attending a match in 1994, but I have less-than-zero desire to attend a match this summer. Obviously, I'll tune into matches on TV, but I'll need to practice my cringe-face every time Trump or Infantino say/do/post something stupid, corrupt, or both.
