I just read that Joe Thomas piece in the Echo. What a pile of 💩.

"Released on Friday morning, the season ticket pricing offers a glimpse into the efforts of club owners the Friedkin Group to catch up with Premier League rivals, on and off the pitch."

They wouldn't dare write that about Liverpool's ticket increases, which are less than Everton's btw.

The Echo - in cahoots with the Everton owners taking the utter piss.

What does that even mean?

I think the club are going to have to climb down or make some massive future commitment.

They've bitten off more they can chew here and I'd be surprised if they just brazened this out with BS about 'winning trophies again'.

I'm guessing a price freeze announcement - and maybe that was their strategy all along to get the eye-watering inflation busting price rises over the line.

I keep seeing the price increase being justified by this idea it helps us to compete with the biggest teams in the country. My numbers must be well off because I keep getting a figure of around a few million extra being brought in. An absolute drop in the ocean.

Spot on mate.

Surely they dont think they can away with this? This is the support base that within the last few decades have gone toe to toe with various Everton regimes and beaten them down to size: EitC, the Blue Union; All Together Now.

Those who dont learn from history...
They need to be very, very careful with this. There are empty seats in the stadium already and the "lets go to see a match at the new Everton stadium" brigade will quickly fade away once the shiny new concrete starts fading. We all know how long it's been since we won anything (and will no doubt be reminded of it a week on Sunday by a Scandinavian with a piss-stained bedsheet bearing the image of a birthday cake and a year from the mid-90s). I doubt that we are currently a particularly attractive proposition for the glory-hunting customers who want to Tick-Tock or Instagram their matchday experience either (they've got the pit or Wrexham for that). So the owners need to realise that proper supporters are a different breed, but most of us have our limits both financially and in our patience levels when feeling we are being taken for a ride.
I'd have no argument if they'd raised the price as they have this year and given me a usable season card which I could pass on to someone else without them needing to pay a fee to accept it, but that Season Ticket Plus thing is bo11ocks.

Yep, but it'll be the justification in one way shape or form when Kinnear eventually grows a pair and 'explains'.

Non Season tickets holders charge up your FIRESTICKS

Our lowest Tier tickets LAST season versesView attachment 349607

Vs That lot who are moaning about tickets

We are paying more but keep kissing those boots and don't forget your additional plus mode to get 60p off a donut

Utterly disgusting

Our match day ticket prices are already a disgrace. I'm only home for a couple of games a year but always go out of my way to get a ticket. Not any more. Especially with that nonsense membership scheme they rinse you for.

This is what I cant get my head around. They talked about sustaining the fanbase and nurturing it - the people at the leading edge of that are ST holders and their families. It looks like they're believing the hype about ST waiting lists. Ok, they may be genuinely long. But I'll tell you this: they wont contain the type of fan who'll put decades of theirs and their families lives into this club...not many will be anyway.

These people are genuinely 'kin thick concerning who they're dealing with. I suggest they get half a clue very quickly or this is going to run away from them in a matter of a couple of seasons or so.

There are a minority of people clapping along on Twitter who will be the first to complain over the coming years when the empty seats appear. Right now they think there are an infinite number of people ready to take any newly available seats should people find these prices increases too much - I think they are very much wrong.
