Youve literally put "the ones we were laughing at earlier this week". There's no other way to interpret that other than laughing at the reds fan action
The article in the national press about their fans action produced some very derogatory comments. Maybe, I should have used a dufferent phrase.

Mate I don't want an argument with you, if my point of view got your back up. I come on here to read about our club.

I've just seen the Season Ticket+ benefits. Insulting to say the least. We used to get free access to friendlies anyway.

I can understand why people would be at the point of walking away. It's not even about the game anymore and it's just going to get worse every season.

Have the club come out with any sort of statement yet to justify the price increases?

No mate.

I suspect they're going to wait and understand the type of feedback they'll be accumulating from their forum lurkers over the weekend.

If Kinnear or Middleton (if it's him fronting it) aren't completely tin-eared they're going to have to quell a rebellion by committing to a price freeze in the next couple of seasons following this. It's that scandalous in the face of a cost of living crisis. If they do that I think people come down off the barricades; if not then the club has made a rod for its own back next season when form could crater and/or KO times are all over the place as per this season.

They need to understand the strength of feeling.

I see price increases as the norm in the following seasons mate, albeit maybe small increases after this ridiculous hike.

The ones behind it don't live in the same world. It's all about selling you the best package now and I think this is the first test to see how far we can be pushed/stretched. If we all do nothing, renew as usual then imagine what message that portrays.

Scandal if so.

Even Liverpool - who are getting pelters - increased in line with inflation.

This is a sighter for this lot in control. If they get away with this they'll be emboldened.

Socially engineering the fanbase is the goal here. They employ all sorts to game this for them. We're literally in the process of losing the club.

But our fans aren't daft either - or passive. Ive spoken before about a backlash going down the track and it'll happen. Nothing surer because we're the product of our history overturning piss takers. They can postpone that day of reckoning by freezing prices, though.

Spot on mate.

Surely they dont think they can away with this? This is the support base that within the last few decades have gone toe to toe with various Everton regimes and beaten them down to size: EitC, the Blue Union; All Together Now.

Those who dont learn from history...

Putting the whole south stand on the same rate isnt going to get more Streetenders and parkenders in there to create this massive home end atmosphere. My seat has only gone up a fiver but those at the back,in the corners and the whole lower are hit with a £50 odd rise in one go. Plus a £69 service charge for the 12 month direct debit. Its a disgrace. They must've looked at the waiting list. They must be confident of replacing anyone who jibs it. They best buy some players in the summer europe or not.

Probaly a few reasons for that.

First, they claimed they were speaking for everyone. I will not have the worst behaved fans in Europe thinking they speak for me. It's like Millwall on steroids trying to speak on my behalf.

Second, the mighty reds have frozen prices for 8 of the last 10 seasons.

Thirdly they are increasing theirs by 3% as far as I'm aware.

Ours have gone up a whopping almost 10% in one hit, this is why most are well cheesed off with it.
