I am hoping to transfer closer to the pitch next season, as am currently right up at row 61.
I hope my full attendance for the season will mean I am more likely to get a chance to move compared to somebody who doesn't attend much and is always putting up their seat on the resale.

I think they'll prioritise accessibility.

Some put their seat on the resale and buy a more accessible ticket.

Yeah, crack on. Here's Leeds;

So let me get this straight then, just so I am clear in my simple mind.

Clear steps and help needed:

I sell my 3 season tickets back to the club (do I get any money in return for these or only if they sell them on??).
Hopefully recoup my approx GBP 78 per game I have paid for the 3 of them (fingers crossed). Or do I get full sell on value for these?
Then I buy 4 tickets in a completely different area for almost double the price?

Is this correct?

I've never sold my tickets through the club so I wouldn't know - but the point was with regards to you saying season ticket holders who don't make 80%+ of games are preventing people from attending.

I'm saying that's not accurate as tickets have been available via the clubs resale platform for every game this season.

I've then used the next home game as an example - that screenshot isn't even resale where there's loads more, it's general sale.

You, as a new first year season ticket holder, would like to add another new season ticket holder, next to you. That's a pretty niche situation - I think you'll need to rely on moving season tickets to elsewhere.

that must be pricey if the resale doesn't sell.

Are you saying to have more chance of moving you need to have a medical reason?

Given the amount of noise I'm seeing from fans struggling with mobility at the new stadium, I think the club will prioritise fans with mobility issues (less steps to climb etc), or wanting extra family next to them, over people who want to move seat for personal perference.

If you're Everton, do you give preference to someone who has attended 100% of games or someone who has done 50% this season, vs 90%+ at Goodison because they can't manage the extra stairs?

I'm back row, so perhaps I see more fans struggling

Loads in the same boat mate - particularly mobility.

People weren't to know the situation at the new stadium until they got there. I feel for some fans around me struggling like hell with the steps.

Makes it worse that the games they can't make, they can't readily shift their tickets too.
The stairs in the upper tier are an issue as well. I am in the lower tier normally, but went in the upper for the Sunderland game. I couldnt believe how many steps it was from the concourse up. I get that its a tradeoff for the steepness, but for anyone with issues getting up them its a real concern. Hopefully the club have some common sense when it comes to allowing people to shuffle their seats around for next year because that will help to alleviate at least some of the problems. My Grandad is getting to the stage where he is debating renewing next season, when in reality his mobility issues are relatively minor compared to many.

Its a shame on his part, given he started going when we were in the second division that he might stop because of issues that shouldn't be insurmountable for the club/council to overcome; and as you say, he is far from the only one.

Definitely. Recall Roma, two seperate older gents getting to their seat near me and both declaring they'll need another season ticket. Not seen them since.

I think the biggest driver of non renewals will be the older generation due to mobility - and as you say, it's not even the extreme end with mobility issues. Real shame.

I travel from out of town which was never a problem at Goodison as I had a pre match routine, This season though I think we’ve only had three 3pm Sat kick off times. I just cant make the midweek and not gonna lie, it becomes a grind. You start questioning if it’s worth the travel and if I could maybe pick up resale for 3-4 matches a season I would look forward to these games and make a day / night of it, plus I could see other parts of the ground which I haven’t been able to do yet. Undecided, but likely won’t renew.

I'm in exactly the same boat as this. Moved down south halfway through last season and although I thought I'd never give the season ticket up, I am tempted to just buy the 30 quid membership and do 5 games per season rather than doing half the games and having to find someone to buy the ticket for the other half.

I do think a lot of issues have arisen from "half-arsing", the ST process.

You used to be able to visit Goodison to pick your seat.

They should of had periods where say 500 fans are allowed to visit areas, before deciding.

Its not right that elders or those with mobility issues are struggling. Its not right those who cant stand for 90 are being forced to (im aware they related the latter several times).

But theyve ultimately made this upcoming renewal period 10x harder.

I empathise with those who live out of town, because it must be a chore getting away, with lack of parking.

I dislike it, but mainly due to those around me moaning about everything. Its a chore.

Ive missed one game for Non-Everton matters, but I have left early for the last 8 games, Brentford was like FT. My mate stays, says it takes 15 mins to get out of the bowl (were at back of South Lower).

Will take some getting used to, and i think a lot of the negativity of late stems from the fact we are very hard to watch, I think moaning would he significantly lower if we wrre playing entertaining stuff.

But there are 30k+ people on the waiting list for ST's (not sure of the exact number).... if you don't like going or don't want to be there, let someone else have the opportunity.
The famous 30k on the waiting list who can't wait to get to the new ground but can't be a$$ed snapping up a few hundred seats on the resale for one off games 🤣

these seats are available for the Bournemouth game.
with decent accessibility - not sure if the club will make them available to season ticket holders though for next season

I actually can't believe how many tickets are available, looking at the above screenshots. On the one hand, its ridiculous - I can't make the midweek home games, and doubt if my season ticket will sell on the re-sale platform, plus I can't find any mates who are members who are desperate to go to a game like Leeds on a cold Monday night, so there will be empty seats for sure.

On the other hand, are we almost back to the old days of turning up on the day and paying to get in? Obviously not completely, you still have to buy in advance, but there seems to be absolutely no problem in picking up the odd ticket for any game except the ones that used to be all-ticket anyway back in the day (eg the derby). In which case, I'm seriously considering giving up my season ticket. I can't see the point, when there are so few weekend games anymore. I never had a season ticket in the glory years of the 1980s, but I could always get in to a game at Goodison. It feels like those days have returned at the Hill Dickie.

Imagine having a village street (think it is) with the three hours of unlimited drink etc but not able to use as most of the games youve got work some 8 hours later.

Remember when a night game used to be a novelty? Now a Saturday 3pm is.

Soon a weekend game will be.

I've not seen any surveys since we moved stadium about current season ticketer experience. Says it all.
