Yeah, she got a lot of coverage and praise on the right for taking down the head of Harvard and U Penn.
The case of Claudine Gay was particularly gross.
They went after her for supposed antisemitic comments or views at a congressional hearing.
As soon as she resigned they took a victory lap calling her a diversity hire (DEI).
Racism basically. And Stefanik (harvard educated) led the mob.
Right up trumps ally.

The polls tell exactly one unified story right now: we don't know. Trump and Biden both pull mid to low forties in national polls, which means there's still a lot of 'undecided' out there. We don't yet know which (if any) third-party candidates will be on the ballot in the states that matter, and we have very little good polling in those states.
Making a projection nine months out is a very chancy proposition in the best of times. It wouldn't have been realistic to call Mondale dead in the water until the summer of '84, and Reagan ended up blasting him out of the polling stations. At this stage of the game, Gallup polling was still close.
We could have a financial crisis prompted by Chinese real estate, and the banks holding that paper. Either candidate could have a major health scare, or croak. Someone could manage to try, and convict, Trump before November. We could have a war on our hands. There's just way too much race left to run to make a prediction, at this stage.
How will the recent ‘genocide Joe’ stuff affect his numbers do you think? Is it a big thing? It seems a bit of no winner for him. He alienates either the pro- Israelis or the pro-humanity groups

It's a very big deal in Michigan. Good chance it costs him that state due to the demographics, which narrows his options for getting to 270.
Of course, taking the other pathway was probably worse for him, in the Electoral College. It's just one of those no-win situations an incumbent gets punished for, no matter what they do.

It's bad luck for Biden, but that happens. It will probably turn on the economy over the next nine months, barring a major shock to the system. That part seems good for Biden.
I cannot believe I am still saying/asking this but why on earth is Trump still eligible for this? How much can one man get away with?

Short version: there was little appetite among Senate Republicans to impeach him for January 6, and impeachment requires a 2/3 majority in the Senate. The people who wrote the Constitution couldn't foresee the Civil War any more than they could the present situation. They made some assumptions about the future character of American politics that turned out to be wrong.
They couldn't much anticipate broad support for treason due to top-down pressures, or the pace of future technological progress. They thought they had left the federal government weak enough to freeze the status quo in place, but that's not how things turned out.

60-65% of the Arab vote isn't going to turn Michigan over if he even gets that. Trump will just say its a disaster over and over again but eventually he'll have to say that "I support Isreal"
Neither will the large (usually Red voting) Ukrainian community in Cleveland have much of an impact on Ohio.
Its down to Wisconsin, Arizona and maybe Nevada, Georgia and PA again.

Its so weird, if the GOP put any other candidate on the ballot they'd beat Biden by 20 pts. Trump is literally the only candidate Biden can beat.

It’s like a weird depressing paradox…Biden apparently has to run because the Dems think he’s the only one who can beat Trump. Trump is running as one of the only candidates who could actually lose to Biden. Mess is the right word.
