good post.
I came to the states legally but know lots who didnt.
They just came through airports and overstayed holiday visas.
A huge amount of illegal immigration happens this way.
But these people aren't vilified by the right because they look like them and speak the same language.
It's all politics.
It was absolutely hideous to see the gov of florida fly a plane load of immigrants from texas to Marthas vinyard as a stunt.
These are f'in people.
And the vinyard pretty much closes for half the year. They got moved to the cape and processed. No big deal.
Democrats werent out with pitch forks screaming against the bipartizan border bill Trump shot down.
Everyone wants controlled borders but with straightforward pathways to live here.
I know illegals who live here and love trump because 'he'll close the southern border and who knows what diseases those immigrants bring with them'

Honestly, Trump has poisoned the minds of so many. I pray today is the end of it.
The bold is the point.

"Illegals" to the right are only Mexicans and central Americans. Spanish speakers.

Never English speaking white people

Then why do certain finance "experts" claim that Trumps stance on deporting illegal immigrants having a huge negative impact on the economy due to the loss of manual labour jobs?

If, as you say, illegal immigrants Cant work, then those being deported wont have an effect. Simultaneously, if people are there legally, they wont being be deported so the loss of jobs wont occur.

For the record, ill state this explicitly because someone will take it out of context. I was not suggesting that any of the people who bunked into the queue in 1995 and prevented many fans from getting tickets were illegal immigrants. I was making a point about how systems that allow people to abuse them have a knock on effect somewhere down the line.
The gig economy is a huge component of every economy. Just ask the Brexiteer farmers who complained when they couldn't find fruit pickers at the wage they wanted to pay, which were formerly paid to travelling European students and the like

Before I answer, what would your definition of a financial expert be?

Up until the 70s and thatcher liverpool was a right wing, unionist city so it’s never a surprise to me.

We will be one of the main targets for reform in the next election over here.
Interesting. I don't know a lot about the make up of the city pre 80's
I presume those in power were probably tory but there was still a large working class population containing a lot of Irish immigrants (how I ended up a blue). Was it a case of the upper class who controlled the industrial purse strings were tory and the working class labour?
probably getting a bit sidetracked!
