I'll just put out my POV, if a parent wants to raise his child to hd e certain beliefs, go for it, be that religious, or a belief that gender is fluid.
An issue is take, is when it crosses the line between brainwashing a child - you see it with ultra religious families sometimes - and the kids by and large tend to grow up to be messed up mentally. Similarly if someone for whatever reason here's their kid say they think they are x or y, and they jump into the acceptance of such and almost push the kid down that path, then as in the above it's plain wrong (I'm hoping these instances are way less frequent than it seems (and I suspect that is the case)).
To me that latter behaviour strikes me as a degree of narcissistic behaviour or a new modern age version of Munchausen By Proxy Syndrome on behalf of the parent (usually mother), but a version which in the current climate goes unquestioned.
No doubt I'll be labelled by some now as anti trans, it's an easy label to throw at people, i honestly don't really care if someone feels better by sticking a label on me.
The entire media obsession with it, including it being the new go to thing to be in Hollywood, or for their kids, just feels downright dystopian.
