Pretty sure it's not most mate, by far and away the most important issue listed by voters is the economy, usually by a country mile as well.

Why then don't parties debate this and focus on immigration etc, simple really, the economic policies of most political parties have so little difference to make debates worthless or on questions on the economy neither side has any actual answers or solutions.

Hence, you get issues of way less importance being over inflated by the media and ran with by politicians as the key battle ground topics.

Jesus does anybody on earth vote for a party based upon their policy on climate change over their economic policy for example, and if they do then they're mental.

It's also why a nice distracting war is always good for an election, it distracts the plebs from what's happening at home

Naive if you think the REFORM party's substantial vote share came from their economic policy, it was their strong stance on immigration that won them that share of the votes, their economic policy was akin to Trusses, opposing parties should've pointed that out more.

For years the Tories headline slogan has been 'stop the boats' the tory campaign strategy was to scare people into thinking Labour would 'open the floodgates'

Because most of them got fired and/or are part of the sitting establishment which sees him as a threat because he is an outsider. Its funny though, because so many more people have nothing but good things to say about him, and many more HAD nothing but good things to say until after he was a candidate and then President and then candidate again.
