I’m struggling to follow the logic of his defense here. He says the story is impractical because he was already famous at the point, and he couldn’t get away with anything with people watching. My understanding was that when you’re famous you can just grab them by the [Poor language removed].![]()
Unpopular opinion here, but I don’t mind this as a position. It’s horrifying, tone deaf and insensitive, sure, but it at least is a logical conclusion and acceptance of the consequence of the 2nd amendment.
If, as a country, America decides that allowing people to freely have guns as a constitutional right is fundamentally important to them, the consequence of that position is regular school shootings and 50,000 gun deaths a year.
The pro gun lobby need to own that position, and win that argument - that the benefits outweigh the costs.
