CNN just ran a segment showing that since 2000 the average net favorability of a VP pick post-convention is almost +20, and Vance is currently polling at -6. Not only is he not providing a bump for the campaign, he may actually be a millstone around their neck.

He has negative charisma. He’s stiff and awkward as a speaker. His resume is thin. His memoir is a condescending attack on his neighbors, who have been quick to disown him. Hopefully, Hollywood "celebrities" will be careful with their choice of words and how actively they support Harris. Because rich elite's lecturing the plebs only works favorablely on issues where people overwhelmingly agree. A fairly big number of swing voters could be lost over something as stupid as George Clooney saying, "Trump is the devil, and his support base is a brainwashed cult." It’s been very painful to see family, neighbors, friends fall under the spell of this charlatan. To see them sing his praises and throw away their own reason, morals and dignity when he’s so clearly only about himself.

The groundswell of excitement for Harris is something to see. I was and am a Biden stalwart and was disgusted with supposed allies battering him in public. But there is no denying that Harris is already making the case against Trump and FOR a contrasting vision, with more vigor and clarity. I don’t like the way it happened but it was the right thing.

I am praying that Harris redeems America for Trump, by delivering such an emphatic victory that it discrefits him forever. It wouldn’t be the first time that black Americans saved the soul of the country that has treated them so shabbily.
