An apologist for abuse is a sentence I didn't expect to read today.

I always think about what 2pac said about this.


I wonder why we take from our women
Why we rape our women, do we hate our women?

It is, you're blinded to it because you are raw to an event or events recently that have caused you significant harm. Nor goat or I or anyone else can process and compartmentalise that trauma for you. I respect it isn't easy. The depression thread is awash with pain and suffering and loss.
I posted recently about the glacial slowness of attitudes in society and the following respect and acceptance it eventually leads to.
The suffering of womankind in general is not your issue, nor your responsibility. When you make comments that stray close or even over the line of negative female attitudes, it's highly likely that any such misinterpretation, misstep, misunderstanding, will be at the very least questioned.

Following it up in such 'combative' ways is probably going to make the repercussions that much worse. It is possible to be a bit more subtle and wary of specifics that are likely to get a few hackles up. Certain topics are hot for a reason. I reckon you are adult enough to be aware of most if not all of those.

I'm sorry to hear about your ma, I can't make comment or pass judgement on agendas and behaviours because thankfully I don't have to live it. There's ways to address your grief and sorrow. I reckon this wasn't the most productive way.

Nobody is denying your experiences Martin. But Kamala Harris hasn't done anything to you and I, like Goat, am a little surprised you are unable to put those experiences aside in your evaluation of her. That is not being an apologist for abuse. I think you're a great lad and an excellent poster, and I hope that somewhere down the line you find a bit of peace as pertains to this part of your life.
 
I 'kin hate being serious on here. I turn up for a few laughs and to try and crack a few jokes. In the main we all have the chosen infliction that is Everton in our lives and we soldier on all the same. I know we can't all be best buds all the time, but in a world that can unite us against so much barbaric behaviour and intolerable characters like trump and farage and more, isn't our humanity worth more to us?
