The fires are the appetizer unfortunately. The big earthquake will be the main meal. Don't worry though Trump crack team of experts have figured out the fire part haha!
But if you are willing to risk that haha! like @LinekersLegs says it truly is a great place. When I moved to San Diego I didn't know what to expect but I love it here. Parts of the year I can go skiing and go to the beach if I want.
I do a lot of work in northern California too and I always like taking an extra day when I go just to explore and see something new.
Got to see it all before mother nature and climate change hound us out right haha!
I was about 3 days away from moving to San Diego about 15 years ago. Grew up in a beach resort community and thought San Diego would be best like that. Backed out at the last second essentially. Don't necessarily regret it but I still think I would love it there..
Poor air quality atm and not sure if related to the fires or the high temperatures but our mains power is out.
Hope the poor thing pulls through. So much devastation for wildlife as well as people.

Gulf coast getting hammered this year

Saw this yesterday so bloody sad. The tireless work they do.
Several friends and some work colleagues of mine had to evacuate. The mad thing is several locations chosen as refuge are also now closed due to the direction the fire is moving.
