A co-worker lives in Mobile AL. He said, when it's all said/done, they're expecting about 30" of rain. Holy fn hell.

That sucks.
We have been lucky here down south not too many fires yet. One big one but put under control sooner rather than later.
Many small ones but the tireless work of the local fire services has been excellent thus far. Fingers crossed stays like that as we move into the worst months.

I've spoken with Mrs. a bunch about how, one day, I'd like to live on the west coast for a year or two. But then I think about everything the west coast has in terms of "Hi there, welcome to the West Coast, I'm going to try to kill you now!" and I think maybe Mexico might be a better option..
It truly is a magical place and I’m still so glad we moved here but have to admit that the fire risk in particular has risen to a rather worrying degree.
