Glad he is out so quickly and recovering but is it really wise for him to continue to put himself under the stresses of a presidential campaign?

Sanders won't get chosen as the candidate for the Democrats. If he does it will be a mistake. They will need to give him a superb running mate if he is picked.
A heart attack will make people really think about choosing him. It should be a disqualifier. Pity people pay doctors to give them the all clear. Or they convince themselves they are fine.
On the right they will be worse with the flak calling him weak and picking at every thing they can like they did with Hillary when she was I'll and looked like she needed a break.

I get that he wants to be President, and I think he would be a fantastic President. But his age and health have now entered the conversation. I really don't see how he can continue since he and Warren have so much in common. If he stepped down, Warren would easily walk the nomination.

Bernie Sanders is the only person that I geniunely believe can beat Trump, losing him would be dire.
What really worries me is that desire might be strong enough that he kills himself trying to achieve it.

Bizarrely, the last round of “second choice” polling had both Warren and Sanders supporters going majority Biden as their second pick, so I wouldn’t necessarily be 100% sure on that.

What do you base that “belief” on, out of interest? Because none of the data remotely backs it up
Joe Biden represents a class of politician who would rather advance their means by legal mechanism rather than that of offering a genuine political alternative.
I believe that Trump is incompetent and inflammatory. His policies are xenophobic, and anti-working class. But behind the moralistic stance of seemingly permanent outrage adopted by the political class lies a strong sense that US democracy saw the end of their reign of power.

When presented with the grim reality that both parties are hopelessly corrupt, disengaged less-educated voters will always vote for the corrupt guy who makes them laugh, shares their tastes, and lashes out at the people who sneer at them and their values - if they vote at all.
And if your immediate response is "But all of this https://www.ft.com/content/3904f888-e8ef-11e9-a240-3b065ef5fc55 is not technically illegal" or "BUT TRUMP IS EVEN WORSE!!!" then you are still missing the point.
