If that wasn't a reality check for people who think it's going to be a cake walk (and lots do) then nothing will be - they're all absolute phoneys bar perhaps the couple who've been in the army, and Tim Ryan. He was the only one talking about middle Americans - ordinary working class, white people. The people Democrats used to care about. Everyone else was about labels - black, gay, trans, immigrant. Totally divisive. Beto thinks pretending to be Hispanic is a goer, and Brooker is just a race baiter. Warren, who pretended to be native American for decades to get teaching jobs, can't win, not with her extremist plans. The fundamental problem with all of them, even the few normal ones like Gabbard, is they seem to think government is the answer to everyone's problems - and more taxes. On the environment the solution is simple, make everything more expensive like it is in Europe where petrol is more than double it is here (unlike in the UK, you need a car here), where leccy is 3 times the price, and give handouts to farmers to get them into line. And to those who don't like it, the world will literally end in 12 years so suck it up. There's a reason Biden is so far a head in the polls, he's the only one out of the lot of them perceived as a moderate. You'd think the rest of them would cotton on

Nah, he won with policy promises that a lot of people liked, the wall being the big one but there were others. Obviously, if you hate him it's hard to believe he had any policies but he did - lots of them. What's even worse for his haters is he's actually delivered on a lot of them. What Warren promises is big government, and more taxes. Rich bashing can only get you so far - what's her message for people who don't want to hear it? What's her message for people who never went to uni and don't want to pay off other's people tuition debts? What's her message for people who don't want to pay for other people's healthcare? The perception among Dems and people who have left wing views is it's just a minority of selfish right wingers who don't want universal healthcare in America (free healthcare), but the polls show once Americans are told what universal healthcare would actually mean, support for it basically disappears. As I say, she has no chance. Biden is the only electable one and even he'll have problems, like defending the fact he voted for the Iraq war. He's got a tone of baggage

The same voters that voted for him are a minority of the country, and he won by <80,000 votes split across three states while losing the popular vote by ~3m. Trump is a historically unpopular 1st term President.
