Just saying. At the end of the day there will be two people on the ballot unless the Green Party gives it another go. Ive said it before, If Amy or another true moderate was on the ballot, we would be cooking with something and I think alot of people would feel more inclined to vote for her. But Biden is already trying to go far left to appeal to those people who only like Bernie. I have a few key points and just will not support it if they are pushing for it. I will get my vote finalized in October/November. But be honest with me, you arent happy with Biden are you?
I voted for Elizabeth Warren so no, Biden wasn't my first or second or third choice, but I also think the plans promoted by Warren (or in far less specific terms, Sanders) are to a great extent aspirational; in practical terms, even if Dems controlled the presidency and both houses of Congress, I don't think big ticket left-lib ideas like M4A would find enough support to be passed into law as yet. Keeping them in the platform as intentions, however, will keep them alive as ideas and aspirations that will probably eventually gain enough public favor to be realized as legislation and policy. In light of that, I wouldn't be concerned about Biden going too far left if I were against lefty proposals.
Regardless, I am and have always been a lesser-evil voter, in which frame there's no question in my mind that Biden is far preferable to Trump.
I would've been happy enough to vote for Klobuchar, who seems a very practically minded, non-ideological woman, had she become the nominee. Hearing of how she yelled at an aide for bringing her a salad without a fork and then resorted to eating it with a comb instead will keep her enshrined in my heart forever.
